My Ancestral Land

My ancestral land in Bentota is now home to Bentota Artisan Meat Products & The Helsy, Bentota


We grow lots of vegetables, herbs, fruits and flowers in our four-acre land & mornings are filled with the chirps of birds and so much joy. We have chickens for fresh eggs and a couple of cows because Peter loves making his own cheese.


The Helsy Bentota

is our newest addition, it's a brand-new British-food themed restaurant which also provides jobs to the lovely local community. We aim to gradually develop our brand in Sri Lanka's tourism & hospitality industry as our rooms being set up to ensure luxury and comfort will soon be ready for those who wish to stay in Sri Lanka for a while or perhaps throughout their retirement, in our tropical paradise surrounded by the Indian ocean and at my ancestral land.

At The Helsy Bentota, we take pride in offering the freshest, highest-quality eggs to our customers. Our farm, located just a short distance from our restaurant, is home to a thriving flock of healthy, free-range hens. These hens are raised in a natural, stress-free environment where they roam freely, pecking at fresh grass and foraging for insects, all while receiving the best care possible.

Our hens are fed a nutritious, organic diet without the use of any artificial additives or hormones. This ensures that every egg we serve is packed with flavor, nutrition, and the goodness that comes from happy, healthy hens.

Pete's Story

Pete’s meat was evolved from Peter not being able to find the quality meat products he ate in England. With his farming background, and previously making his own bacon and sausage in the UK, he continued this in Sri Lanka. Request by friends for these prime meat products then developed into a small business. Our sausage contain no offal brain or spinal tissue, only quality, pork meat, and fat. Our meat pies come from the animals rump with fascia and connective tissue removed. The pie are pastries made with butter, enhancing the high-quality of the product
